Changing new tyres, Michelin Pilot Sport 3

First of all, for you guys out there that had been visiting this site, I would like to thank you as this site had reached 10,000 pageviews. To tell you the truth, it wasn't that easy to keep on was money really play important part in doing this.

As for today,  I just wanted to share that I had changed the extractor as well as the air intake and do some settings with the ecu that result in gain of hp.

But with the gain of power kinda bothers me with few safety issues which mostly comes from my tyres that needs some changings as it had been worn for more than a year. The rainy season just made it worst, I barely couldn't take corner more than 60kmh compare to 100kmh during hot sunny day.

I did some research and concluded that the Michelin PS3 is the mostly recommended. Well the thing is that I dont want to spend much and most of the time I will not push my tyre to the limit. So a good tyre that sticks on the road during dry road condition and also perform during wet road condition is my main choice.

Apparently, I did go to few tyres shop to compare prices. Some of the glamorous shop even try to sell me the tyres only and quoting balancing or alignment differently. But after few shops I managed to find one decent with good pricing. I managed to get them rm280 each with balancing and alignment. Kinda a good deal. The sales guy told me that normally at the end of the year they would sell it cheaper to clear this year's stock.

After inspection of the tyre, it was written that it had been manufactured the 37th week 2013. I also request them to change the tyre valve into steel one's for rm10 each.

As where did I did this? The shop called Lim Tayar nearby taman bahagia area.

My opinion for this tyre? After using this for a month, I could say that it really work well on rainy days. The tyre cuts water very good compare to my previous falken and stock tyre. The sidewall is slighty stiff and it doesn't really sound noisy on highways. It is quite an ideal tyre for me.

Burned myvi se1.5 fender lining

I would like to wish selamat hari raya to those that celebrates.  As for me, I did some travelling and went to the east coast for holiday. As some might know this already that the LPT highway now continues from bukit besi to KT. I did try my top speed over there but of course I would like to advise others to not to drive over the national speed limit as it might endangers you and others. Anyway, as my speed rises up to 170+km/h, the bumper clip at the fender lining just came off. Well I did see this coming because after change the stock spring to lowered, I did bump and scratch my lower front bumper where the clips are. After the clips came off, the fender lining rubs against my tyre and I had to stop by to temporarily repair it.
After few diy I did manage to keep it intact and today I manage to completely change into new one. You could diy it because its just clips. The fender lining is not that expensive but you do need some extra clips as some might broke or missing. Total is less than rm100 so its not an issue.

Upgrades: Suspension and Stiff Rings for Myvi Se1.5

Changing the rear absorber gives quite improvement,  reduces the bodyroll and lesser the sways when high speed cornering...
Paired with the Gab Sp. I just couldn't get to adjustable as taxying my family is still my main priority. Event with the Sp gives me hard time when the 'in house finance minister' keep complaining on how bumpy it is and why should spent things that reduces the comfort. Well i just told her that it saves fuel by less braking in cornering (seriously its a joke and dont take my words).
Doesn't really hurt my pocket but gives a lot of fun
As for the stiff rings. I was looking forward for this. In my practice, we used to called it as 'top hat' and it is important as it aligns and holds the bolt properly so that your lower chasis and wishbone doesn't move too much when cornering.
That small thing like a washer that fills the gap between.

There are two pieces of stiff rings for this long bolt, one at the end and another is in between them.
I only installed the front set of stiff rings and it consists 6 pieces that costs rm2xx.. Theres improvement as the cornering feels more precise and stable.

I will continue in investing on suspension and chassis as I'm still satisfied with the stock engine output. But when the time comes, I gladly will share you on my soon to be engine upgrades.

Adjusting your headlamp and foglamp beam for Myvi Lagi Best

If your beam happens to be high and other drivers are annoyed with it, you may adjust this:
The headlamp projector is adjusted using saiz 8 wrench
As for the foglamp, it is located under it, you may need to jack yout car
Make sure when adjusting it, your beam is facing on a flat wall to accurately align it.

1st issue: Rusted caliper pin

After a year and half, I encountered my first issue with my myvi. When I brake hard, the car will slweeks tilt to the left. Then when I was due to chane my brake pads, I realised that the left pads wears badly. I soon realized that the pin kinda jammed and wont disengaged properly. So I took out the pin and find out this.
Took it out, sand it, lube it, and install

But I still need to change it, because once its rusted, its just getting worse...

Updated: after 2 weeks, I went back to the sc and they told me to sent in my car for warranty claims,  the shitty thing is that they only could change the pin and clean the caliper holes. Which doesn't really helpful for long terms usage. Therefore, every time I send in my car,  I had to request to check the pin over and over again. Because, in the end of the day its still a safety issue.
